Song for Hector & Night is Coming: A Threnody for the Victims of Marikana

Friday 21 November, 6pm at the Void Cinema

Song for Hector | In Song for Hector, Kaganof remixes the Soweto riots of 1976 into an experimental cinema that demilitarizes, deconstructs, and decolonizes master narrative.

Night is Coming | A new South African fictionless fable featuring two “characters”. A
Massacre and a Blind Musicologist Bible Thumper set out on a journey to secure spiritual  food in order to sustain themselves during a period of spiritual drought. They arrive at the  red and green pastures of Marikana. Knowing that these belong to a moody Lonmin, the Massacre encourages his Blind colleague to gaze.

The event is free and no booking is required.  Any enquiries can be sent via email to: impresariav@gmail.com
