Please come to a TAS New User support and feedback session
All academic staff at SHU are required to complete a survey of their activities during three weeks of each academic year. The data from this survey is important and forms the basis of a larger compulsory reporting process (called TRAC) that every University must complete for HEFCE. TRAC gives a detailed breakdown of the income and expenditure of teaching, research and consultancy and is used to determine the costing rates for research projects.
Academic staff who are new to completing Time Allocation Surveys at Hallam should attend a support and feedback session. The aims of the sessions are:
- Describe what the Time Allocation Survey is
- Explain how the TAS results are used
- How to access and complete the survey
- What the different categories mean
- Where to get help
- Answer any questions and record your feedback on the survey and the systems that record the data
If you cannot attend but would like to know more about TAS please get in touch at ! TRAdministrator. Alternately you can also find out more about the Time Allocation Survey on the SHU intranet here, where you’ll also find several links to Frequently Asked Questions and screenshot guides on how to use the online TAS system.
