Staff can now download a range of licensed software from https://sh.onthehub.com/. This includes software available under the Microsoft Work@Home scheme (costing £7.80 per item for download) and also free Microsoft Dreamspark Standard ‘developer’ software. Students can access this site too but in line with their eligibility, they will be offered only the Dreamspark Standard range of software.
You will need to register for an account using your @shu.ac.uk email address. Please choose a different password from the one you use for your University login and read the instructions and licensing details before downloading.
A new service has also replaced the over the counter provision of specialist software previously available from the Library helpdesks. Students and staff can now download a range of non-Microsoft software for free from http://shu.student.academia.co.uk.
