Deadline approaching for university-wide peer mentoring scheme

Recruitment has started for a new volunteer peer mentoring scheme called Culture Connect, which helps students meet people from different countries while they are studying at Sheffield Hallam, develop their cultural awareness and gain valuable experience for their CV.

Please encourage all students to get involved – home and international students from across the faculties!

Student commitment
The scheme is very flexible around their studies. They must meet their mentee/mentor a minimum of 4 times from October to April. All participants will receive an induction to ensure they get off to a good start, then there will be regular optional employability skills training and networking events to meet wider participants on the scheme. By taking part in Culture Connect, students will be eligible to apply for the prestigious Hallam Award.

The deadline for students to apply is Wednesday 8 October. Students can apply online, following a link from the Facebook page.
