Following an incident where a student’s private email address was shared with other recipients on an email distribution list, IS&T advise staff to enter their own email address, or a generic departmental address if you are using that for responses, into the To: field and enter all other recipients into the Bcc: field.
This reduces the risk of recipients with Microsoft email accounts such as @hotmail.com, @hotmail.co.uk, @live.co.uk, @outlook.com addresses being able to see the email addresses for other users with those types of account.
