Cycle to Work Scheme September Launch
Following the success of Yorkshire’s Grand Depart, we are pleased to announce that the Cycle to Work Scheme is back for the autumn. The scheme is opening from 12 September – 17 October 2014.
The Cycle to Work Scheme is a government initiative that allows you to get a brand new bike and safety equipment for your commute to work – all tax-free – giving you a saving of up to 42%.
Cycle to Work is a salary sacrifice scheme and payments are deducted from your gross salary over a 12 month period, allowing you to make potential savings on your Income Tax and National Insurance contributions.
Further information about the scheme, including Frequently Asked Questions, is available on the HR intranet site. We will re-open the scheme again next year.
CycleBoost Scheme
The CycleBoost bike loan scheme will be returning on 8 October until 5 November which allows staff to borrow and test a bike for free for a month with all support provided. At the end of the month, the bike can then be bought for £100 (a massive saving on the RRP of the bike).
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Thursday 2 October. If you want to find out more about the scheme CycleBoost will be visiting the Heart of the Campus on Monday 29 September and Owen Main Reception on Tuesday 30 September from 10am-2pm on both days. For further information and to sign up online, please visit CycleBoost.
