Signal – LGBT staff network group

Signal is the LGBT staff network group at Sheffield Hallam University which aims to: create and promote a safe, supportive environment for all our LGBT staff

  • provide ‘out’ role models to current (and prospective) students and employees
  • partner with the Student LGBT+ group
  • keep our members and supporters updated on our work with Stonewall, special events and campaigns
  • and to be active, visible and celebratory

Invitation to join SIGNAL – Thursday 11 September, 12.30-13.30 at the Millennium Gallery Café
This is the first meeting of the new academic year and this will be an opportunity to have lunch, catch up  and make plans for the coming year.

From October onwards we’re going to meet the first Tuesday of every month to plan and keep on track of SIGNAL activities and we hope you’ll join us.  If you can’t make the monthly meetings don’t worry as we’ll regularly update you by email and eview about SIGNAL’s involvement in LGBT activities across SHU and the wider community and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get involved throughout the year.

For information about joining Signal, email Trish Elwis, Equality and Diversity Team: p.elwis@shu.ac.uk or call 0114 225 6287.  If you want to chat with a network member, you can email Linda Wilson: linda.wilson@shu.ac.uk or call 0114 225 3744.
