Advice and Information Team’s ‘A&I points’ project

During September and early October there will be Advice and Information Points located at key points at both campuses, staffed by student ambassadors, willing to help with any queries that students may have.

There will also be student ambassador ‘roamers’ who will be carrying ‘Need Help? Ask Me’ lollipop sticks! This year we have recruited 20 ambassadors who will be working in shifts to roam and staff stands, cover welcome events and provide support at Advice and Information Reception and Student Financial Support Reception.

The ambassadors will support all new and returning students, not only in navigating the campuses, but also in finding their place in university life. Last year the ambassadors answered a whopping 4000 queries in total, helping to take pressure off helpdesk and faculty staff during the busiest time of the year.

We encourage you as staff members to approach our ambassadors, or advise new students to, for any advice or information during the first few weeks of the new term!
