Confirmation and Clearing at Sheffield Hallam begins tomorrow (14 August) when prospective students receive their A Level results. Our call centre opens at 7am and we will also be open for visits from applicants looking to secure a place here.
You will be aware how important this period is in helping the University meet ambitious recruitment targets for 2014.
Extensive arrangements have been made to increase the number of phone lines available to enquirers. Large numbers of academic and administrative colleagues will be working hard to provide an excellent online, telephone and face-to-face experience for our prospective students.
This means there will be significantly increased pressure on our telephone lines, and increased numbers of visitors to the City Campus from early tomorrow morning – and possibly through to the following week as Clearing activities are scheduled up to 19 August.
Internal calls will be answered as soon as possible, but external calls will take priority, so your patience is appreciated.

If you meet potential student visitors on campus who want face-to-face advice on Thursday or Friday, please direct them to Level 3 of the Atrium (Owen Building) where staff and Student Ambassadors will be operating a Clearing ‘Open House’ reception.

We’re also running an open day for people interested in applying for undergraduate and PGCE courses starting this year, or who have already applied through clearing.
Tuesday 19 August from 10am – 2pm
