Over 600 nominations were cast for the 2014 National Union of Students (NUS) Awards including the Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union entry into the Innovation and Enterprise Award category for Snug.
Snug, a unique partnership between Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union, Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield City Council which aims to raise the standards of student accommodation in the city, was shortlisted for the NUS Innovation and Enterprise Award alongside five other Students’ Unions.
On the night of the NUS Awards Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union and Snug, was narrowly beaten by the University of Gloucestershire Students’ Union and was awarded Runners-Up in the Innovation and Enterprise Award category.
