Celebrating 20 Years of FD, this event takes place at the SHU Sports Park at Bawtry Road on Saturday 19 July, 12 – 4pm and is open to all including family and friends, SHU staff and some corporate partners.
Activities and events on the day will include an FD charity football match, rounders, inflatable assault course, crazy golf, bouncy castles, stalls, face painting, hot food, beer tent, lawn games and even members of the FD Executive and leadership team in the stocks!
Tickets for the Fun Day are now available from the main reception points and FD Communications Champions at the price of £1 with under 12s going free, and all proceeds going to our chosen charities (the NSPCC and Weston Park Hospital).
Tickets also serve as a raffle ticket – if staff can’t attend on the day, they can also buy a ticket just to enter the raffle.
Parking is limited at the Sports Park but a free 50-seater shuttle bus has been arranged to run return journeys from the Arundel Gate bus lay-by above Hallam Square to the venue. A Park & Ride service is provided with free parking available at the Science Park car park.
The Bus journeys to the SHU Sports Park will leave at 11.30, 12.30 and 13.30 and the bus will return from the Sports Park at 14.30, 15.15, 16.00 and 16.45. To book your places on the bus, e-mail eventservices@shu.ac.uk or call ext. 5430.
