Lost Chord is a charity which uses music, song and dance to help transform the lives of people with dementia. It has had some amazing responses from people who often can’t walk, talk or communicate in any way. Music seems to reach into their very souls, it is the key which unlocks the door behind which a frightened, intimidated and often humiliated person hides. We are giving people with dementia a vehicle through which they can continue to communicate. The evidence of the power of live music in unlocking memories is striking and undeniable and the sense of achievement experienced by them is overwhelming.
