Human Resources and Finance have been working on a joint project called Realise Phase 2. This is an established programme which successfully moved to a new Payroll and HR system last year. As part of that programme “Phase 2” looks to move some existing paper based processes on line. The aim is to reduce the overall time it takes to complete these processes whilst removing the disadvantages of existing paper based systems.
The first phase of the project was launched last year with a new Employee Self Service Portal on the staff intranet; Core Portal Self Service. As part of the next phase a new Manager Portal will be released and this will run alongside the current Employee Self Service Portal. This means that if you are a manager, you will access the Manager Portal and Employee Self Service Portals in one place, though as a member of staff you will continue to access Employee Self Service as usual.
During the course of this year, new modules will be added to the Manager and Employee Self Service Portals simultaneously, including expenses, overtime and timesheets. Other modules such as recruitment and absence management will also be made available in the Manager Portal in due course.
Functionality will be released throughout the year and communicated accordingly.
If you haven’t logged in to the Core Portal Self Service for a while go to the Staff Intranet home page and select Core Portal Self Service. This will take you to the log in button and you will use your existing username and password to access the Employee Portal.
