It’s a SHU Fest!

A week-long extravaganza of music, dance and creativity starts on Monday, showcasing the talent and diversity of students and staff at Sheffield Hallam University.

A Brazilian carnival, an illusionist, Indian dancing and ukulele and hip hop performances are just some of the 35 events planned during SHU Fest, which runs from Monday until Sunday 9 March.

Brazilian food, music and sport will be on offer in the Brazilian Carnival on Wednesday while a masterclass, teaching people Chinese in just 60 minutes takes place on Thursday.

The festival is open to the public with bike stunts, cooking demonstrations, film screenings and flamenco dancing all included in the activity programme along with an opportunity to visit another UK city which will be chosen by a public vote.
