The CPD Programme is designed to provide academic and learning support staff with practical development opportunities that address personal, professional and institutional priorities. It targets the needs of staff with different levels of experience in teaching in higher education and is structured around themes prioritised by faculty and departmental LTA networks. Forthcoming CPD events include:
Assessment series: inclusive assessment with Paddy Turner
Thursday 20 February, 12pm – 13.30pm, Owen 744, City Campus
The aim of inclusive practice is to reduce the negative impact of the elements of learning, teaching and assessment delivery that disadvantage some students irrespective of their potential and ability. Assessments are on a continuum which makes them more or less inclusive rather than being either inclusive or not inclusive. This practical workshop will model the steps you can take to make your assessments more inclusive more details
Student Rep Conference 2014: Champion the Hallam Student Voice
Friday 28 February, 9.30am – 4.15pm, The HUBS, City Campus
The Students’ Union invite staff to attend the 2nd annual student rep conference, where course reps will be networking, learning how to get more out of their role and engaging with University staff.
