At the end of February we will be launching the Recycle and Do the Right Thing campaign. This has been put together through the FM and Sustainability teams with input from the Green champions.
It aims to reduce confusion about what to recycle and means recycling bins will always be on the right with new easier to understand stickers and a promotional campaign to support it. Not only is it environmentally important to recycle, but it costs the University twice as much to dispose of non-recyclable waste than it does recyclable waste so it makes financial sense too.
This is part of our Pass it On behaviour change initiative which aims to create a sustainable culture across the University.
