The University’s Facilities Directorate has cemented its place in the top seven per cent of employers for its people skills.
The Directorate, which is leading on a £100m building programme across the University, has retained its Investors in People (IiP) Gold standard award, which it first achieved in 2010.
The award makes the Directorate, which employs more than 550 people, one of only two higher educational organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber region to hold the gold status.
Investors in People’s John Taylor said that the University team met 178 out of the 196 indicators in the IiP Gold framework – with particular successes in management communications, staff engagement and consistently maintaining high quality student learning and living environments.
