HR and Corporate Affairs are currently carrying out a piece of work to understand what different groups of people think about Sheffield Hallam as an employer – or prospective employer. Having a better understanding of this will help us build on our strengths and communicate these better so we can develop Sheffield Hallam’s employer brand.
It’s vitally important to know what our current employees think about Sheffield Hallam as a place to work in order to help us build this understanding – which is why we’re inviting you to get involved and share your views.
We’ve partnered with 360 Education who will be running a number of focus groups in November and we’d like to invite you to take part. 360 Education will facilitate each focus group which will involve 8-10 people from the same employee group (e.g. academic, technical, Admin Professional and Clerical (AP&C) etc.) sharing and discussing their opinions about the University as an employer. 360 Education will then produce a report summarising any key themes they identify. This in turn will inform further work carried out jointly by Corporate Affairs and HR as we continue to develop the University’s employer brand.
Further background information and dates of the focus groups can be found at the following link: https://portal.shu.ac.uk/departments/HRD/Pages/employer-brand.aspx
Anyone interested in taking part in these focus groups and helping shape Sheffield Hallam’s employer brand should contact Tamaris Roberts on 0114 225 2862 or email T.Roberts@shu.ac.uk by 14 November 2013 to book onto a session. Please get in touch asap as places are limited.
