Due to a change in building access systems, there will be a phased replacement of all staff SHU Cards from 21 October.
This new card will enable access to buildings and provide enhanced security for the safety of staff and students on campus. New chip technology will also open up opportunities and possibilities of use for the SHU card. The new card will also feature ‘papercut’ technology for printing and photocopying and will replace the temporary silver sticker which was issued to go on SHUcard.
Please do not throw away your old SHU staff card as you may need it for access if the old access system has not yet been updated.
Access gates will be in place in the Learning Centres this semester and all members of staff and students will need their SHUcard to get into the learning centres.
Please make sure you attend one of the distribution venues below to get a new or replacement SHUcard:
