Following the introduction of the UK Bribery Act 2010 and in line with the University’s Financial Regulations all gifts and hospitality received over the value of over £100 must be declared on the Register of Gifts and Hospitality.
Additionally, in the interests of transparency and parity we would encourage you to declare all gifts and hospitality given or received, no matter what value, but this is not a requirement.
The online Gifts and Hospitality Register aims to make this process easy and can be accessed here together with full instructions on how to complete the register and the level of detail required. Please address any queries on the Register to Vanessa Chettleburgh in the Finance Directorate on ext 2047.
If you have any questions regarding giving or receiving gifts or hospitality and whether or not this is likely to be deemed acceptable under the Bribery Act 2010, please review the additional guidance available here in the first instance or contact Rosie Hancock, Legal Services Officer, University Secretariat on ext 3854.
