Collegiate building reaches landmark stage

The new £27million teaching and learning facility at Collegiate Campus has reached a key stage in its development.

A topping-out ceremony recently took place with representatives from the contractors Graham Construction for the University’s new Heart of the Campus development, which has now reached its highest point. The new building, planned to be completed by autumn 2014, will include a new café, teaching and social learning spaces.

The three-storey building will be 7,200 square metres and mainly be used by students and staff in the Faculties of Development and Society and Health and Wellbeing. The development also includes space for the Students’ Union.
