HEA Recognition – Workshop Dates for September and October 2013

Gaining Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) implies a career-long commitment to excellence in teaching and supporting learning and is closely aligned with the United Kingdom Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF). Webinar Programme from October 2013

Applying for recognition from the Higher Education Academy?  Wrestling with the language and terminology?

Then join us in the forthcoming webinar programme which will be led by Dr Sally Bradley, Professional Recognition Adviser. The webinars will last about 15 minutes and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions without having to leave your desk!  All you need is access to the internet, headphones and possibly a microphone.

Initially we will look at the five Areas of Activity:

9 Oct 2013, 12.15 pm Design and plan learning activities   and programmes of study.
23 Oct 2013, 1.15 pm Teach and support learning.
6 Nov 2013, 12.15 pm Assess and give feedback to learners.
20 Nov 2013, 12.15 pm Develop effective learning   environments and approaches to student support.
4 Dec 2013, 1.15 pm Engage in continuing professional   development in subjects/disciplines and their pedagogy, incorporating research,   scholarship and the evaluation of professional practices.

If these sessions are successful, we will extend the webinar programme to include Core Knowledge and Professional Values.
