Access the Core Portal where you can book training courses, view your payslips and view/change your personal information.
https://portal.shu.ac.uk/departments/HRD/coreportal/Pages/home.aspx
To book yourself onto any of the above courses:
- log onto the portal (using your usual network log-in details)
- click “My Training Self Service”,
- click “book a course”,
- search for the course you want (using keywords – just type in one of the keywords and click “search” – this is much more reliable than entering more than one keyword)
- click the little green “+” sign on the right hand side next to the course you want
- Find the date of the workshop you want to attend (or the waiting list if no dates available) and click it to select – it will go green
