News: Sparks fly as university exhibition opens to the public

Sheffield’s biggest student exhibition opens to the public this week, bringing together works of art and design from almost 20 creative disciplines.

Open to the public from Saturday 8 June, Sheffield Hallam University’s Creative Spark exhibition is the city’s biggest and most diverse student exhibition, showcasing work by the University’s final year creative students.

The best of the University’s film, fashion, photography, fine art, graphic design, performing arts, metalwork and jewellery, architecture, games development and animation courses are all included in this year’s exhibition.

Director of the University’s Sheffield Institute of Arts, Professor Sally Wade said: “Sheffield Institute of Arts has origins dating back to 1843 and this year we are especially proud to celebrate 170 years of art and design education in Sheffield”.
