The first phase of the redevelopment of staff work areas in Adsetts is about to take place.
What is happening ?
The Library Resources and old Campus Team areas are going to be reconfigured to reflect the new team structure.
Who is moving ?
- Carmel, Mags, Juliet, Ben, Sabah and Elaine are moving from the level 3 and level 6 staff offices to join their colleagues in the Document Delivery and Metadata teams.
- Pauline and Michelle then move to Level 3 staff office, which will be the new home of the Library Skills team.
- Vicky and Christine move to the Library Resources area and Catherine moves to Library Support
- Ellie, Naomi, Ian and Janet have new desks within the Library Resources space
- And finally Colin moves to 6711, the office next to Mary and Claire Gandy
When is this happening ?
The moves are booked in for the weekend of 16th and 17th July and will be done by a team of external contractors called NRC. They will be responsible for moving the floor boxes to the correct location, moving the furniture and crates and assembling new shelving.
Everyone who is moving will need to be packed up by the end of the day on Friday 15th July. The crates are already here and guidelines and crate labels will be circulated shortly.
In advance of the moves, there will be some other work taking place –shelving needs to be removed and some desks dismantled – so expect a bit of disruption.
