Dear Chris,
There is a real sense of opportunity and excitement in the air as we set forth on this new era at SHU. I have been reflecting with colleagues in my department and across the University and it is clear there is an emerging sense of wanting to take this institution to a higher level, which is great. In doing so we would do well to look at the ground taht needs to be covered in terms of our EOD strategy in order that we enable all of our colleagues to make the best possible contribution to our success. Embracing a positive EOD strategy for any succcessful institution in the 21st Century-this is ahard ask and not one that can be secured by a process based approach but through inspirational leadership suck that we are justly proud of SHU as a University which is committed to inclusiveness, and which “embraces diversity by valuing and respecting the perspectives and contributions of all our colleagues and students”.
