Attend a Development Workshop

Please note:  Our development workshops are currently being delivered online.

The best way to understand the requirements of fellowship under the TALENT scheme is to attend one of our development workshops. Dates, times and booking information for these workshops can be found in the TALENT Calendar.  We normally run two development workshops per month (one for Associate Fellow/Fellow and one for Senior Fellow) which will help you to:

  • Answer any questions raised by the introductory videos
  • Enhance your understanding of the UKPSF dimensions of practice
  • Interrogate your practice for suitable examples
  • Clarify what kinds of evidence are required
  • Begin to sketch out the shape of your submission
  • Work on identifying some of your evidence and receive feedback

“I was really impressed with the workshop; the member of staff delivering the workshop was very experienced, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He effectively answered all our questions and showed us a huge amount of important information and sources. Thank you so much!”

Registration

Attendance at a Development Workshop automatically registers you with the TALENT scheme and gives you up to a year to submit your fellowship application.  You will be advised of your own personal submission deadline date (more details about submission deadlines can be found on the TALENT calendar).  If after attending the Development Workshop you feel that you are not ready to commit to submitting within this time period, you may opt out at this stage.  By registering, you are eligible to attend as many writing retreats as you wish, to receive further support with your application.  Find out more about our writing retreats.

Please note: If you are unable to submit by your own personal submission deadline date, we would require you to begin the registration process again by attending a new Development Workshop and repeating any practice observation within your new registration/submission period.
