Managed Desktop 2015 – The  new managed desktop image has now been released into PC labs and teaching rooms and will be installed on remaining PCs via a series of updates between now and October.  This is the list of software which is on the 2015 Managed Desktop. The look and feel of this year’s desktop is not significantly different from last year’s so you will find it an easy transition.

Packaging and testing of software for teaching rooms for the start of the new academic year is progressing well.  This table shows the progress on packaging and testing of software for teaching rooms  to date.  If there is software you requested that you haven’t tested yet, please make sure this is done now so that we can resolve any issues in time for start of teaching.

Testing of  IT and AV equipment for teaching – IS&T has employed eight students to check that all the IT and AV equipment in classrooms works correctly for the next semester.
