Volunteering drop-in sessions:
Not sure how to use your volunteering or Governor’s Leave?
Last year, the University introduced a new volunteering policy which actively encourages staff to undertake volunteering activities by providing paid time off work, on top of the existing volunteering policy to become a school or college governor.
As staff, you now have the opportunity to make a difference to young people’s lives and support the local community. If you’ve got questions over how the policy works, what sort of volunteering opportunities are available in the region through our partnership with Education and Employers and beyond, and how to get involved, please come along to one of our drop-in sessions on:
Monday 13th January, 12-2pm, Heart of the Campus HC.016
Tuesday 14th January, 12-2pm, Owen 922
Take a look at the South Yorkshire Talent Bank website to find out more about the volunteer opportunities we are championing, and ask any questions.
