We are looking for international students who are interested in meeting a home student several times (3-4 times) online and taking part in a 45-minute one-to-one lesson.
This could be a good opportunity for you to meet a home student and practise your English!
The home student will contact you by SHU email and will arrange to meet you for 3 – 4 times online at a time which is good for both of you.
During the meetings the home student will find out about your language learning experiences, record you when you are speaking, collect an example of your writing and do some reading and listening tasks with you.
The last time you meet, the student teacher will teach you a lesson for 45 minutes.
To take part in this experience you need to be available to meet a student teacher several times before the end of April. It is important that you exchange contact details with the home student and contact him/her if you can’t attend a meeting. Unfortunately, this project is not suitable for students with a very high level of English (Above IELTS 7), or students who have been educated in the English language.
