Winner of the UK 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition
Shruti Mandhani, a PhD student from the Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI) won the UK final of the Three Minute Thesis competition at the Vitae Conference in Birmingham, UK.
Shruti won the Hallam 3MT competition during the Creating Knowledge conference in June, was successful in the UK semi-finals and went on to the final to present her award-winning project, which explores the use of a ‘nature-inspired’ approach to designing novel auxetic materials.
