Students and their tutors from La Trobe University in Australia arrived at Hallam yesterday to start a two and a half week ‘Cities in Transition’ study tour. The tour, led by history academics at the two institutions, Emma Robertson (La Trobe) and Prof Tony Taylor (Hallam), introduces the students to northern identity and culture.
They will also meet Hallam students who will be visiting La Trobe in 2019-20. Earlier this year we announced our new strategic partnership with the Melbourne-based university which will strengthen global research collaboration and provide international exchange opportunities for staff and students, as well as the development of dual degrees.
