On Friday 29 April, mentors and mentees from the Culture Connect scheme got together to put on a fantastic celebration event that they had planned and organised, pulling together with the help of students and the local community.
Students put on a great array of entertainment, including musical performances, a pole fitness exhibition and speeches given by members of Culture Connect to share their experiences and successes.
There was also a selection of refreshments on sale, as well as a raffle, both of which were in aid of the recent earthquakes in Ecuador: a fantastic cause to raise money for.
We’d like to say a massive thank-you to all of the students who were involved with the event, helping to organise, plan and perform on the evening.
Want to get involved with Culture Connect in the future? We’ll be recruiting for mentees and mentors again in September. Check SHU GoGlobal for updates.
