Leeds

Meet outside the HUBS
Leeds is a cosmopolitan city in West Yorkshire with loads going on. You will get to explore the city’s vibrant shops and you’ll also have the opportunity to visit the city’s wide array of museums and galleries.

Cheshire Oaks Shopping Centre
Saturday 1 August 2015, 8am – 6pm
Meet outside the HUBS
Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet is the UK’s largest outlet centre, with 145 stores. Explore and browse the wide range of designer goods at a discounted price. And if you need a break from the shopping, Cheshire Oaks even has its own aquarium.

Summer events
Everybody is welcome to join our summer events, they are a great way to meet new friends and explore Sheffield together.
Ice Skating, Wednesday 15 July, Meet outside the main University entrance (Owen) at 6pm
Meet our student crew for a fun evening at Ice Sheffield. On Wednesday evenings students skate for £4 including skate hire (with your student card). We will take the tram there so please bring £4 for a return fare.
Walk in the Peak District, Saturday 18 July, Meet outside the main University entrance (Owen) at 10.30am)
A team of local people will take you to explore the beautiful Peak District. We will take the bus so please bring £6 for the return fare.
Trip to Bakewell, Sunday 19 July, 10am-3pm, Meet outside the main University entrance (Owen) at 10am.
We have organised a trip to the delightful market town of Bakewell, famous for its pudding and market. We will be taking the bus to Bakewell which is approximately £6 return. Please pay on the day.
Sheffield Pride Festival
Saturday 4 July
Sheffield Pride is back for 2015!
This year the festival is moving and it will take place at Sheffield Students’ Union at the University of Sheffield. Pride is taking over the entire site (and it’s a BIG site!) to bring a whole day and night of fun, activities, music, and loads more.

Vintage and Craft Markets
Saturday 27 June, 11am – 5pm
St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane
With over 40 stalls selling vintage clothes, jewellery, accessories and homeware, this has been described as the best vintage and craft market in South Yorkshire. Tickets £1.
Sky Ride
Sunday 5 July, 10am – 2pm
Meet at the main entrance, City Campus
Join thousands of other cyclists as we take to the streets of Sheffield for a fantastic traffic free ride through the city. This is a free activity but places are strictly limited. Please email goglobal@shu.ac.uk – for further information, visit goskyride.com/SheffieldSkyRide.

Meet new friends at one of our regular ice skating events. Whether you are an accomplished ice skater or have never tried it before – come along, everybody is welcome! Come and find out why Sheffield is the greenest city in Europe as one of our British students leads a walk to the edge of the Peak District. Please wear comfortable shoes and waterproof clothes and bring a picnic.
