This year the Freebie Fair takes place on Monday 21 September 2015 from 1pm until 5pm.
Last year 6,000 students queued to get into The HUBS to get their hands on lots of freebies! This year looks set to be even bigger with lots more freebies, food, competitions and lots more!

Join us as we explore the popular Ecclesall Road area with independent shops, restaurants and bars, and the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

Chatsworth House is one of the most magnificent estates in Britain. Tickets cost only £20 and must be bought in advance from the Meet & Greet desk, City Campus. The ticket price includes coach travel plus house and garden admission.

Oxford is renowned for its medieval university and is known as the ‘city of dreaming spires’, which refers to the beautiful architecture of the university buildings. There are plenty of shops, museums and gardens to explore along with the largest single room devoted to book sales in all of Europe.

Scarborough is a seaside resort with a rich history. It has glorious beaches and loads to do and see. You will have the opportunity to visit the town’s various beaches, museums and galleries.

Price – £20
The city’s museums, theatres and other cultural and sporting venues have made Bath a major centre for tourism. The city has a lively cultural scene with several festivals, concerts and exhibitions throughout the year.

Tickets for these trips can be purchased from the Finance Office in the HUBS which is open Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm.

There are so many exciting projects you can get involved with at Sheffield Hallam University. To showcase these projects we are organising a SHU GoGlobal fair where you can talk to people who have taken part.

Innovation Award
The Innovation Award is a funding opportunity for Sheffield Hallam University students and recent graduates to start or develop their own social enterprises. We run two funding rounds a year where you can apply for up to £500 under our Start Up award to test out a business idea or run a project, or you can apply for up to £2,000 through the Grow It award for an established business idea.

Balloon Kenya
Each year Sheffield Hallam Students’ have the opportunity to apply to the Balloon Kenya programme via Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union. The programme enables successful students to fly out to Kenya for 6 weeks to work with ambitious Kenyan entrepreneurs to grow businesses that change lives.

Social Enterprise Social
Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union, University of Sheffield Enterprise & Union St are collaborating to make the Social Enterprise Social happen. We bring together social entrepreneurs and anyone who is interested in it, to share ideas, be inspired and network. There are inspiring guest speakers presenting at each event, updates from key players in the sector and food and refreshments available during the evening. We’ve had over 100 people at each event and hope you will join us at the next one.

Join us for a visit to the famous Mayfield Alpaca farm. You will get to meet the animals and see why they are unique. You will need to bring your student ID card with you. Admission to the centre is £3.50 and the bus fare is approximately £3.00.
