Closing date for applications is 08 Jan. Are you keen to use your language skills and gain valuable classroom experience whilst studying at University? As a Language Assistant volunteer you will be placed in a local Secondary school where you will support teachers in the classroom environment. Your role will include providing support to children who need extra help with their languages, assisting class teachers with lesson activities and acting as an all-round positive model of a languages student to inspire and engage young people. You will be directed by a class tutor and have the chance to work with children in either a one-to-one or group basis. Volunteers will be working in a range of Secondary school classes and depending on their ability, A-Level classes as well. Volunteers will need to be competent in Spanish or French.
