Want to work in the UK after your studies?

Would you like some visa advice? If yes, then book a place on our Working in the UK after studies workshop.

We will look at all the possible visa routes for international graduates into full time work including:

  • Tier 2 Scheme
  • Tier 1 graduate entrepreneur
  • Tier 5

The workshop will also focus on how to improve your employability and how you can make the most out of your time at Sheffield Hallam University. We will explain the visa rules and how to maximise your chances of success.

Hallam Award

The Hallam Award is the Students’ Union skills award that recognises and rewards students who have developed their skills through extra-curricular activities within the Students’ Union, university and in the community.

The Hallam Award is designed to help you reflect on the transferable skills you have developed that will help you in your future career aspirations and beyond.

Skills Fest 2016

Skills Fest is a week dedicated to employability and skills development workshops events and trips with a festival vibe.

During the week you will be able to find out about the opportunities available to you whilst you are at university to enhance your employability.

During the weeks you can expect a range of interactive and engaging workshops around CV’s, and interviews, entertainment, FREE food and drink, games and competitions and more…

Masterclass 2016 – Semester 2

12-Week-Online-Marketing-Master-ClassMasterclass is designed to support students who may be unfamiliar with study at university level, or need to update their skills particularly in independent research and writing.

All students are welcome, but these sessions will be of particular interest to those returning to study or from outside the UK. All sessions will be held on Thursdays. All classes are free, and you only need to come to the specific sessions that interest you.
You must sign up in advance for each Masterclass.

There will be five sessions in total:

Session 1 – Avoiding Plagiarism
Monday 1st February at 11-12:30 & Wednesday 3rd February at 12:30-14:00 in Howard 5422

Session 2 – Writing a Critical Review
Monday 8th February at 11-12:30 & Wednesday 10th February at 12:30-14:00 in Howard 5422

Session 3 – Synthesising Sources

Session 4 – Proofreading & Feedback

Maths and Statistics Help

If you’re struggling with any maths aspect of your course, then don’t struggle alone, come to the Maths Help drop-in sessions! The sessions run every week during term-time and can help with any problem, big or small:
