Sheffield Hallam University manages more than 50 buildings across two campuses, ranging from state-of-the-art new builds to Grade II listed properties. Some of the oldest and most historic buildings are housed on our Collegiate Campus close to leafy Broomhill, Sheffield. Following last year’s successful tours for Heritage Open Day, we are once again supporting England’s largest grass roots heritage festival by offering a guided walk around Collegiate Campus.
Join a member of the University’s estates development team for a 45-minute walk around the Collegiate Campus grounds (approximately half a mile) to learn more about the last 200 years of activity on the site, from exclusive boys’ school to vibrant, modern University, from wartime hospital to a leading provider of nursing education.
Tours are being held on Thursday 7 September at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm and places are limited so booking is essential. Please note the advertised 3pm tour will now not be running. To book online please choose the required number of tickets for your chosen tour time below. Booking is open now and tickets will be confirmed, spaces permitting, as soon as possible after Tuesday 15 August.
Please note that this tour covers the campus grounds only and, for security reasons, does not include entry into any buildings where teaching and staff activities are ongoing.
If you have any difficulties booking please contact helen.shepherd@shu.ac.uk. Please note that we are unable to answer any booking queries before 15 August.
