Work on our campus masterplan is progressing, following engagement with colleagues in Sheffield Business School and Social Sciences and Humanities about how the faculties will operate in future. Initial concept designs are being developed; this work will be completed in March and will form the brief for the new developments. Planning is also taking place on vacating the Science Park.
To gain a good understanding of current challenges and desired outcomes, Estates has developed a best practice engagement approach and a toolkit to work with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
Detailed planning has been undertaken to enable us to vacate the Science Park by moving colleagues currently located in these buildings into alternative spaces over late Summer/early Autumn 2019.
To ensure we can adapt for the future, new buildings will be designed to be as flexible and agile as possible to support any future challenges or changes that may arise.
Our plan remains to deliver on the 11 masterplan principles and start transforming our campus to create a much greater sense of place and presence at the heart of the City campus.
