Perspectives on Autism

It is estimated that 1 in every 100 people in the UK is autistic, so it is inevitable that we will teach, interact, or work with someone with autism whatever our role is. This resource aims to develop an understanding of autism, and explores some different points of view. It is built around interviews with four people with different experiences of autism.

The four people who gave their time and expertise to help make this resource.

The first video introduces the individuals, and in the following videos they give their opinions on topics relating to autism;

  1. Introductions
  2. Definitions
  3. Inclusion
  4. Concepts
  5. Diagnosis
  6. Research

To further explore these themes head over to the Topics for Discussion page.
This resource can also be used in learning and teaching – see About this Resource.
