Want to gain some work experience?

The University runs the SHU Internship scheme to support students wanting to gain quality, paid work experience.

Priority will be given to students from a Widening Participation background  (see the SHU Internship form for further details on this) and those without previous work experience.

Funding for this work experience will be provided by SHU via a bursary of £1000 – this is for 160 hours of work which can be arranged to work flexibly over the summer (i.e. 4 weeks full time or longer if part time).

In addition several employers this year are extending the experience by paying for additional hours themselves. Please see the internship information for more details.
