Today we’re providing a run-down of useful support services within the University and the Sheffield community. Support available in the wider community:

If you have a family, it’s likely that your studies will have to fit around other commitments and concerns. You may find fellow students in similar situations and be able to form friendship groups with other student parents. However, you may also find yourself wondering where you can find support outside of the University community. Sheffield has a wide range of support groups, organised activities, communities and networks specifically for families. There really is something for everyone, from baby yoga classes to aqua activities for teenagers, from support for deaf children and their families to support groups for breastfeeding mums, from children’s centres across Sheffield to support for young carers.
