Is your dissertation due in soon?

Worried about your coursework?

It’s the writing up period for most students at this time of year, which means drafting, revising and finalising your coursework or dissertation.

Sheffield Hallam offers support with your academic writing and also with your general wellbeing.

Study Support

Study Skills workshops are a great tool for guidance on writing coursework, including dissertation writing, critical writing and referencing.

If you need a bit of extra help with an assignment, bring it along to one of the drop-in study sessions where you can meet with a study support tutor who will go through your assignment with you.

If you don’t have the time to attend a workshop but could do with some quick tips, The Study Skills Toolkit, a Sheffield Hallam University online resource to develop your academic and study skills may be a good start.

The Academic Skills blog is a really useful source of information on success in academic work, including online maths resources, editing and polishing assignments and presentations.

Support for your wellbeing

Hand-ins can be a stressful time. The Student Wellbeing service offers different types of support for all students. You may like some tips on how you can look after yourself, workshops and counselling.

If you’d like to speak to someone about any aspect of your course or anything else there is support from the Advice and Information Team who offer daily drop-ins on an impartial and confidential basis.
