University Mental Health and Wellbeing Day is an annual, national event which takes place in February each year and to mark it, a range of events and activities will be available at SHU, promoting the mental wellbeing of both students and staff in Higher Education settings.

Student Wellbeing, Student Services, the Student Union, Hallam Head Space and external agencies IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and Syeda (South Yorkshire Eating Disorders Association) will be working together to offer the following workshops, activities and information, for both students and staff:

Atrium Level 2 – Information stall from 11:00am – 2:00pm run by Student Wellbeing and the IAPT service

Collegiate Learning Centre – Information stall from 11:00am – 2:00pm run by Student Wellbeing and SYEDA (South Yorkshire Eating Disorders Association)

Art activities, IAPT drop-in and Wellbeing MOTs from 12:00pm – 3:00pm, Student Wellbeing, Surrey Level 1

Workshops ‘Have fun and live on a budget’ and ‘Introduction to mindfulness’. Free goody bags will be available on the budgeting workshop, providing some ingredients for a simple, healthy meal!
