Connecting with Professional Practice

On 5 June, Hallam Pracademia and the Professional Practice Foundation launched a new externally-facing networking conference: Connecting with Professional Practice. Led by Jill Dickinson, Teri-Lisa Griffiths and Professor Mike Coldwell, the event was themed around professional practice, development, and engagement and was designed to bring together both lecturers and researchers from across the University, and contacts from external organisations, to develop business links. South Yorkshire Futures nominated for a SOMO award

South Yorkshire Futures have been nominated for a UK Social Mobility award under the ‘leadership’ category.

The winners will be announced later this month.

Launch of Rotherham’s Children’s University

Our social mobility programme, South Yorkshire Futures has supported the development of Rotherham Children’s University, which launched earlier this week. The project has been made possible with support from Sheffield City Region Mayor Dan Jarvis MP, who pledged £95,000 of his Mayoral Capacity Funding to the South Yorkshire Children’s University earlier this year.
