Autism awareness week kicks off with the film screening of Temple Grandin on 3 April 2019, 1.40 pm- 4 pm at The Void. This is a free event with refreshments served from 1- 1.30pm in Owen 221, and all are welcome. Tickets and more information available here.

The 2019 Sheffield Hallam Nutrition Fair takes place Tuesday 9 April 2019, 12 pm- 2 pm in Hallam Hall, Owen building. This is the 15th fair run by final year students in SBS and is free and open to all staff and students. More information available here.

Sheffield half marathon  takes place on 14 April 2019. You can support #TeamHallam by donating to the Hallam Fund and going along to cheer them on on the day.

 

 

Sheffield Hallam’s Academic Assembly takes place on 17 April 2019, 1 pm- 3 pm and provides an opportunity for academic and professional services staff across the University to come together with student representatives to help shape the University’s academic strategy, contribute to policy development and to debate academic-related issues. Psychology, sociology and politics Aprils twilight session takes place on 17 April 2019. The session will be held by Professor Susan Condor from Loughborough University  and it will be about REF in relation to unit 4-Psychology, Psychiatry and Neuroscience. Heart of the Campus lecture theatre, room 0.06, 4.30 pm- 5.30 pm. All welcome to attend.

The Sheffield Institute for Policy Studies is hosting a symposium on Class, Austerity and Precarity on 17 April 2019, 4 pm- 6 pm. This event is open to all staff and students. Tickets and more information available here.

The next Transforming Lives sessions take place on 17 April 2019, 10 am- 11 am at City campus in the Peak lecture theatre (Owen 527). Please note that due to the academic assembly taking place in the afternoon, there will be no session at Collegiate campus, however the morning session will be filmed  for people to view if you are unable to attend. Tickets and more information available here.
