Support for Reviewers

In support of Transforming Lives the Performance & Development Review enables you to have meaningful conversations throughout the year with individuals about their achievements, developments and is complemented by regular one-to-one discussions.

Additionally, the annual review conversation considers the future, identifying priorities and setting out SMART objectives, including development needs for the year ahead and how they align with Transforming Lives.

The graphic below is designed to represent the different strands of work individuals may be involved in. By clicking on the image there is further information to support you to prepare for the review discussion in terms of where they are now as well as resources to support their development.

Clearly there cannot be a one-size fits all approach to the review process; dependent on their role, where they are in their career the type of activity they are involved in will vary. With this in mind, the toolkit should be considered a flexible resource to pick and choose from depending on individual needs.
