The ground floor of Arundel House contains a space for staff to relax, eat and take breaks.  It contains a variety of comfortable furniture and space to prepare and heat food.  It also contains a number of PCs for staff who wish to use the internet during breaks, and a library which will be stocked with books donated by staff. 

As the social space will be used by everyone in the building, plus other SHU staff and external visitors, please make sure you keep it clean and tidy and left how you would like to find it!   

If you use the fridges in the social space to store food, please make sure you throw out anything you’re not going to use or that has gone past its use by date.

There are sinks, dishwashers and cleaning materials provided, so please use them to clear up after yourself.  Please wipe up any spills or splashes in the microwaves and fridges as well as counter tops.

Accidents do happen, so if you do drop, break or spill anything, please don’t leave this for someone else to find. Please ring the Facilities Helpdesk on ext. 4444 to report it so it can be cleaned up.
