GraceKennedy Jamaican Birthright Programme

The GraceKennedy Jamaican Birthright Programme is a fully-funded five-week professional internship providing students of Jamaican heritage with the opportunity to connect with their roots and gain professional experience working for GraceKennedy. While in Jamaica, programme participants also undertake cultural immersion trips known as Heritage Pathway tours across the island.

Flights to and from Jamaica, accommodation and living expenses are covered by GraceKennedy for the duration of the programme. To be eligible for the programme, students must be:

  • Aged 18 to 25
  • Of Jamaican heritage (with at least one parent, grandparent or great-grandparent born on the island)
  • Pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate study
    • Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis, so if a student is not on track to graduate with a 2:1/merit, they should still apply.
  • Resident in the UK, US or Canada

On Thursday October 13th at 6pm UK time, there will be an online information session for students who wish to find out more about the programme. Applications are currently open and will close at the end of November.
