DMP students Jade Kinder and Steph Hodgson worked together to create this informative animation for their Level Four: Digital Media Analysis module. Jade told Capture how they wanted to warn students about the dangers and consequences of posting information online, especially whilst in employment.

“We wanted to show something age appropriate to students. So a scenario where the character calls into work sick but actually hosts a party – which his work then find out about because of his Twitter posts.” – Jade

Their animation was chosen to represent this topic on behalf of Sheffield Hallam University. Through the process of perfecting their initial idea, they learnt how to use Adobe After Effects to an industry standard, whilst maintaining the simplistic 2D animation approach.
